Brian Sumner's love for skateboarding brought him out of Liverpool, England to California, USA. While his passion earned him a living, gave him a purpose, and let him ride for Tony Hawk it also brought him drug abuse, a broken marriage, suicidal thoughts, and eventually led him to prison. Chris O'Rourke was slated to be California's biggest surfer back in the 1970's. Every surfer was jealous of this talented, hot headed young man who lead the idea of localism at his home beach of Windandsea. But tragedy struck in the form of cancer, Hodgkin's disease, when Chris was only 18. Brew Brigg's, a close friend of Chris', had recently come to know Christ as his Lord and saviour, and shared all he knew with Chris.

Bill Rieser grew up on the streets of a small Italian neighborhood in the midst of Black and Spanish Harlem in New York City. Although his childhood was tough, Bill was a star of high school basketball—he was reported to have a 44-inch vertical leap! He was heavily recruited by major colleges and seemed destined to play in the NBA. But God had other plans for Bill’s life.

Dave and his wife tell of how they’ve dealt with the many struggles and pressures of life in the NFL. In 1992, with Dave Wannstedt as Defensive Coordinator, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl XXVll. A few days later, Dave was named the head coach of the Chicago Bears. In his second year, he was honored as the NFC’s Coach of the Year.
Today, as the head coach for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers, Dave is as passionate about life as he is about coaching.

In 1997, John Vanbiesbrouck was the leading goaltender in the NHL’s Eastern Conference All-Star game and in 1998 he represented team USA at the Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Although life appeared to be smooth on the surface, the Vanbiesbrouck home experienced significant stresses. John’s older brother committed suicide. He and his wife Rosalinde faced the challenges of raising three sons, including a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Tom captured his first major title by winning the 1996 British Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. He broke the Links course record with a 64 in the third round.
